A great British philosopher once said “You can’t always get what you want…”
Such is the case with this AZ Model 1/72 IK-3. It’s an odd little airplane, one I’d not heard of prior to this build. I was looking forward to its unusual color scheme of sand/brown/green over sky blue. However, this is a commission build model, and the client requested it be painted in post-war colorings for another aircraft. Oh well… the customer is always right!
Whatever they are, the colors are on. Now to find out how much this one will be weathered.
The kit has not been too bad of a build. While not Tamiya or Eduard, the parts align reasonably well, and though all the seams needed some treatment, there were no huge gaps or misalignments or any annoyances like that. (In other words, it’s not Special Hobby…)
