If you’re not having fun, you’re doing it wrong.

Citadel’s Warhammer 40K Skorpius Disintegrator: Part 1 – Assembly and Paint

I think one of the main things I enjoy about building Citadel Warhammer 40K kits is the wide variety of options. Some look like familiar objects – tanks, APCs, and jets – while others are definitely “out of this world” scifi. Coupled with good fit, exceptional surface detail, and ease of build, they’re a load of fun to work on.

Of all the factions in the Warhammer 40K universe though, the Adeptus Mechanicus vehicles take the cake, so to speak, in terms of unique look. They’re quite often a combination of modern armor, WWI, and scifi steampunk. Whatever the design, they stand out on the model shelf or gaming table.

This video takes a look at the first stages of building the Adeptus Mechanicus Skorpius Disintegrator, which probably takes the award for longest title in model history. 🙂

I go over assembly strategy, demonstrate a simple way to fill seams, and then I prime, paint, and add decals to the model.
