I’ve loved the different Star Wars Stormtroopers that have emerged over time. There seems to be a different set of armor for everyone. You’d think though that a civilization that could fly between planets, wield light sabers, employ bacta tanks, and generally do all of the stuff that happened in that galaxy a long time time ago (far, far away) could come up with a single armor suit that was air conditioned, heated, and could change colors to match the environment. Because the last time I checked, white only worked on Hoth or in a massive milk spill.
Anyway…
This is a fun build. I think what drew me to it was that it looks Stormtrooper-ish, but someone actually took the time to pull out some crayons and color in the concept drawing. And I do love the color choices.
Plus, it’s a Bandai kit – what’s not to love?
A few engineering sacrifices had to be made so that it was posable. I could have worked very diligently and studiously to correct all that. Or I could have ignored all that nonsense and just built it out of the box.
And if you’ve kept up with me for more than a few days, you know which choice I made. 🤪
So here are three very old Patreon videos, now spammed released to the general public. Because everyone needs some poor sound and lighting on their YouTube. And it’s not sponsored by anyone! (Likely for good reason.)
As a bonus (meaning I had a fourth block to fill) I added in the “wrap up” video I’d previously released on YouTube at the time to talk about the build. I think this was one of my last “wrap up” videos because… honestly – who cares, right?
As a side note, as much as I loved Rogue One, would it have killed them to just briefly play the opening few measures of “Wipe Out” as the Shoretroopers dashed across the screen? Just sayin’…
