The Leviathan Siege Dreadnought – How To Paint And Weather It

The Leviathan Siege Dreadnought is a cool looking kit from Games Workshop’s Horus Heresy: The Age of Darkness tabletop game. This version has cool claw and grinder “hand” attachments. There is a ranged option available. In fact, there are enough optional weapons sets available that with some clever magnet use a variety of configurations could be achieved.

As with any Games Workshop Warhammer 40K (or in this case, Warhammer 30K) kit, assembly is a breeze. While there are a few seam lines to fill, none are egregious and difficult.

For painting, I chose to go with a heresy-era Space Wolves look. I used a stippling technique for painting, which is fun, easy to do, and results in a very nice finish. Then came all the detail painting and of course weathering! It’s a super fun kit!
