Labor Day 2016: Across The Finish Line With The New Chinese Fighter

The New Chinese Fighter- otherwise known as the Chengdu J-10- is finished.

It’s not the best work I’ve ever done. I took some shortcuts to finish before the Labor Day weekend ended. And I left some warts as they were for the sake of time. But overall, I’m fairly happy with how this one turned out. It’s a great little kit that I’d recommend to anyone.

I did find that because of eyesight issues, working in this scale is a bit difficult. Not impossible certainly, but several times, even with an optivisor magnifying the parts, it was challenging to handle some of the smaller pieces.

This one is not likely to go up for sale. I kind of like it, and think I’ll put it on my shelf, which is a rare thing for me. I do like the look of these delta/canard fighters, though I still think the Gripen is the sweetest looking of all of them.

I did have fun building the New Chinese Fighter!
