The airframe is completed, and just about ready for paint. Trumpeter’s 1/48 Sea Fury goes together just about perfectly, with only a little seam sanding and hairline gap filling here and there. I used a resin insert for the wheel well, and I thought it looked pretty nice. It may be Cooper Details, but I’m not sure. It was designed for the Hobbycraft kit, but it fit with only minor modification.
While this kit gets a lot of criticism for shape issues- some of which is deserved- it’s certainly a fun build. And when it’s done, I’m thinking it will look like a Sea Fury, and not be confused with an alpaca or a bunch of collard greens.
