In Progress: Eduard 1/48 Tempest Mk. V conversion to Mk. II- ready for paint

I have the airframe ready for paint on this one. I’d normally shy away from such a conversion, but I wanted to tackle this one, both for the client (it’s a commission build) and for the experience.

It’s actually gone better than I expected. Despite all the plastic cutting that took place, everything generally fit pretty well. It did require a good amount of putty to get it all faired in. But now that it is at this stage, I am actually a bit surprised at how simple it was, overall.

I really like the base kit. Though it shows it’s age, it is not a bad build. I think I will procure another and build it straight from the box.
