vlog 25-16: Eduard 1/48 P-39L Part 2 – Assembly

Published on:

If you’re thinking that a one hour and twenty minute long video that simply covers the assembly of a model is a bit odd, I’d agree with you.

But then again I was the kid who ate Elmer’s Glue and the occassional crayon in school. Rocket surgeon I ain’t.

I did think about that as I was making this video. (The run time, not the glue and crayons.) And I kept coming back to what it is I try to do with the stuff I spam up to YouTube. It’s always about having fun and trying to be helpful

There are loads of channels I enjoy watching, and frankly they’re all more successful and entertaining than mine. And they do a great job covering their topics.

Yet so often I get to the end and think, “yeah, but what about this and that and the other….” There are always open questions in my mind.

So I decided that when it came to assembly, which is rarely a “deep focus” topic, I’d be a bit exhaustive. Show as much of the stuff as I thought would be helpful, regardless of run time. And then just don my asbestos fire suit for the comments complaining about how long and boring the video is.

Because I know from experience, someone will eventually contact me and say “this was helpful.”

And that’s good enough.
