I’ve started a new Ma.K kit, the Seapig. Why is it called a Seapig? I dunno… but I found the name quite funny. Plus, it was the first model I saw Lincoln Wright building when I first encountered his work, and I’ve always wanted build one as well.
When I started building the kit, and had the camera rolling, I just sort of started to ramble about something other than the Seapig. And I decided to just go with it.
The ramble is about owning the hobby. A more direct, blunt way of saying that is “stop whining about what you don’t know how to do and just do the things so they become what you know how to do even if badly at first.”
That would have been a cool title…
But the TLDW version is just that. If you want to grow in the hobby, you’ve got to own that. Pursue it. It won’t really come to you. You’ve got to chase it down. And have fun in the process.
So here’s a few clips of the assembly and texturing of a Ma. K Seapig, separated by long segments of boring ramble. And I’ll make no guarantee I’ll ever become more exciting. 😉
